Curriculum

Frank + Jane is modeled after a collegiate architectural studio curriculum. Over the course of 6 weeks, students will be introduced to architectural drawing and language, complete a site visit, develop their designs, participate in critiques of their work and develop a construction plan. Because these structures are only meant to last for a few months, many of the usual limitations of construction are moot; however, each project will be approved and supervised by a Frank + Jane instructor in order to ensure its safety and feasibility. 

The Schedule to the left is a Sample created for our pilot program, in which the Frank & Jane Curriculum is taught for two hours, twice weekly. The first part of each class is devoted to lecture/discussion, followed by an activity and ending with a few minutes of reflection.
